Miami 2014

STEP’s inaugural Global Congress was held at the Mandarin Oriental Miami on 6-7 November 2014. Newly-elected worldwide Chair Edward Buckland opened the event, which attracted 400 delegates from around the world.

Highlights included: keynote speaker Geoffrey Robertson QC’s presentation on privacy; Robert Hunter’s discussion on decision-making and risk in private wealth; and Philip Marcovici’s call for transparency and dialogue with onshore tax authorities. View the review of the 2014 Global Congress here

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel offered a great setting for some excellent social functions, including an opening night cocktail party, a reception and dinner at the end of Day 1 and a farewell beach party on the final evening, overlooking the Biscayne Bay, with music, great food and flowing drinks!
