Nicholas Jacob, since qualifying in 1982, has specialised in taxation and trusts with a particular emphasis on planning for the entrepreneur.

He is a specialist in Family Governance and Tax & Estate planning for wealthy families and trusts and companies. His practice is significantly international, acting on large trust structures, for non-UK domiciliaries and on inward investment into the UK.  He advises trustees all over the world.  In particular, he acts for a number of substantial institutions in relation to trust drafting, risk assessment and other non-contentious issues.  One of his other specialisations is acting for trustees in situations where beneficiaries are divorcing. 

He has been nominated by Who's Who as one of the top ten private client practitioners in the world, is listed in the top category globally in Chambers Global Legal Directory and has been consulted as an expert witness in his field.

A significant part of his practice in acting for clients from Hong Kong, Singapore, and other East Asian countries, as well as a number of major shareholders in listed and private companies.

He has been advising a number of banks and trust companies on the Common Reporting Standard.

Nick has recently retired from the International Board of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). He is also a member of the International Fiscal Association and the International Tax Planning Association.
